What do you think of giving jewellery to my BMs as a gift and to wear at the ceremony w/their dresses? I just found this great jewellery line called glam julz that’s really elegant and affordable. Is this an appropriate gift (since I expect them to wear it).

Leila,

I think it is a perfectly fine gift and it will avoid the awkward conversation you would have to have with them: they may be your best friends, but they might not all have the same taste.
If you feel the need to personalize it a bit, and your budget allows, you could get a small monogrammed jewellery box for each of them.
Hope this helps!

A lot of brides do this. It is not odd at all.

I'll say why not, it's a sweet things to do and it's usually done, but be sure it is match with the BM dresses and their taste

I think if you expect your BMs to wear a certain type of jewelry then yes you should get that for them.  It's one less thing they have to spend money on.  Plus it's a gift from you to them, so that kills two birds with one stone.  :-)

I love the idea of the monogram jewelry box, but getting jewelry for everyone is a great idea too. Since it might be hard to personalize, something very simple and elegant for everyone would probably be the best bet. Good luck!!

Hello
My weekend ritual is to go to Michaels and check out the wedding section and new stuff they got. When I went in today I was shocked to see that they are now carrying some Kate Aspen favours. They had photo coasters, mini "x" and "o" soaps, and heart shaped bottle stoppers. I picked up the photo coasters as part of my MOH's gift because she loves stuff that has inspirational words and such on them. The coasters say "love", "hope", "joy", "bliss" on them. Then when I was browsing the invite aisle where all the Brides magazine stuff is, I saw these seat markers that I have been trying to make myself. They were on clearance, marked down to $4.99, and I used a 40% off coupon and got them for $3!! Sweet! I am going to put them on my and my FI's chairs at the reception. I'm debating whether I should print our names on them or print "Bride" and "Groom on them? What do you think?
MOH gift:
-photo coasters
-Friends The One with the Weddings DVD
-pack of two orange candles (one is a flower, the other is a circle)
-mini monogrammed notepad with pen
-box of 3 lindor chocolates
-plus I'm paying for her pedicure that we are getting done the day before the wedding
